Problem
My Samsung refrigerator made ice but would not dispense through the door. The flapper would not open. Upon inspection, I found an ear which engages a cog to open and close flapper was broken. So much for robust parts on this refrigerator. I had to replace the Ice maker last year.
Tools
I used a phillips screw driver to remove and replace 3 screws.

My Samsung refrigerator made ice but would not dispense through the door. The flapper would not open. Upon inspection, I found an ear which engages a cog to open and close flapper was broken. So much for robust parts on this refrigerator. I had to replace the Ice maker last year. I found the part online and saw the prices ranged quite a bit. I decided on Parts Dr. because their price was in the middle but was a Samsung part. I had confidence it would fit, unlike a part I bought from a competitor to fix a Samsung washer. I looked closely at the part picture and compared it to my part and felt sure it was a match. I ordered the part and got it in three days! Boy was my wife excited to get the ice maker spitting out ice again. 10 minute install to have an ice dispenser that worked better than it had in quite a while!

Problem
Door on ice Dispenser broke and was hung up inside which blocked ice from coming out but let hot air into the freezer
Tools
All that was needed was a Phillips screwdriver and a plastic putty knife to help pry the front circuit board off without scratching the door.
Repair & Advice
Call the front control panel has small plastic tabs on each side. Use a plastic putty knife to wedge in between the circuitboard and the door to release those tabs and wiggle the control panel forward to it pops out. Then unplug the wires to the ice dispenser door and reversed everything putting it back it’s really not that hard. There’s also YouTube videos to help show you what I just described
