Repair & Advice
This model refrigerator (Samsung Rf267abbp) apparently has a history of a freezing evaporator drain tube. After discovering a frozen pond under the bottom tray and thanks to YouTube, I watched how to get to the culprit. The first time was just to get the drain cleared. The second time had me add the extended drain clip. The third time came around, the cover got kinda tore up. I ordered the replacement and it fits like a charm.
I got the replacement cover for a couple of reasons; one to replace the insulation and two, replace the thermostat and fan, along with the new lower drain tubes.
Finally, I learned how to remove and replace the shelves and bins from 45 minutes to just under 20. I know that this is a 13 year old appliance. Just trying to squeeze a couple more years out of it.
My advice is if you have a small steam machine, use it to blow the evaporator drain clear and clean the interior walls of the fridge.
