You tube by the Parts Dr. explains how to do the job step by step. I would use a heat gun to defrost my ice maker about every 3 months. In doing so I had warp many parts of the ice maker. I had to force the ice maker from it's installed position. Once I was able to get the ice maker out the job went smoothly. My new ice maker and fix is working great. After two days I have now frost built up and my ice bucket remains full. Finally I have ice when I want it.

I want slow to make sure I was doing it right The instruction tip sheet was most helpful. The kit did all I hoped. I did not need to replace the control board so I stored it away. It was only difficult because I was concerned to force and break the plastic All went well.
