Mounting plates(freezer door handle) attached to freezer door cracked

Repair & Advice
The freezer door handle is attached to mounting plates connected to the freezer front door. Unfortunately, the mounting plates are not made by the manufacturer anymore so I had to buy a whole new freezer front door. After receiving the door, I installed it pretty quickly and attached to handle back on. Now, all is good....just wish I didn't have to spend so much on a new door front.
