Problem
The dispenser chute cover on my Kenmore Elite model 795.79773900 fridge broken.
Tools
Small flat blade screwdriver and #2 Phillips screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Used a small flat screwdriver to remove the control panel that carefully pops off. Disconnected wires from the panel and set aside. Used Phillips driver to remove 2 screws that secure the cover plate. Removed screw and bracket that hold cover door assembly in place and held tension spring on the right side and removed broken duct cover. Installed new duct cover and spring and insured catch dog on the left side were engaged with actuator motor and secured with screw and bracket. Reinstalled back cover routing wires through the left hole and connected to the control panel board and snapped panel back in place. Everything went smoothly and parts were just what I needed.
