Problem
The trash compactor would slip and not compress the trash. This led to the compactor getting stuck as the compactor's head would become uneven.
Tools
Screwdriver was all I needed to make the replacement.
Repair & Advice
The work required getting to the Power Nut. I had to remove lots of screws to do this. secondly, I found a YouTube video super helpful to learn how to replace the power nut. It was straight-forward repair but took a lot of time to open, remove and replace, and reassemble the compactor. I feel I understand how the entire trash compactor works now :)
