Oven door would not close completely because the springs had become weak.

First, be careful to order the correct part! The door spring are different for the stainless steel finish vs the painted finish. Also both springs need to be replaced and there is a left and right spring. There is a safety switch that turns off the oven when the old spring is loose and does not keep the oven closed. I noticed this when the oven light came on, even though it should have been off, and the oven would not heat. This is an easy fix, just go to You Tube for an instruction video. New springs fixed the problem. Now that I have completed the spring replacements I could probably do both in 15 minutes.

Oven door hinges would not allow the door to attach and detach properly.

Parts Dr. price was better than other websites. The old door hinges would not remain in the open position with the hinge locks. After removing and replacing the old hinges, the oven door was able to be detached and attached properly. The age of the Whirlpool 30 inch range door hinges were 2003; therefore they are 16 years old at time of replacement. I am thoroughly satisfied and happy with the outcome! Will
