Problem
Water seeps back into the drum after a cycle is complete and after it has been drained.
Tools
The part ordered worked however was not the issue.
Repair & Advice
When my washing machine was having the issue that I indicated where water was seeping back into the drum after a cycle was complete I saw many people having the same problem and the advice of the "easy" fix was to buy this part. While I was able to install the part (with a little difficulty but was able to do it), it did not fix my problem. From what I can tell there was a blockage in the waste line that was causing the water to back-up into the drum. This was not a blockage to the water filter at the bottom of the machine but rather in the actual plumbing outside of the machine that led to my waste line.
If you are having a similar problem, I'd suggest first trying to determine if it is actually water continually filling the drum due to a default in the water inlet valve -- as it is not always the case and you can be led to believe it is.

Problem
Water inlet valve replacement on Kenmore front loader
Tools
Hex driver, pliers, wd40, channel locks, towels
Repair & Advice
It was a relatively simple replacement, however, wearing gloves would have been a good idea as the metal edges did cut up my hands a bit. I had a hard time with the clamp removal on the hose, so I decided to put wd40 on it to make it slide easier back on. It solved my issue and as a female DIY'er I was happy with the online tutorials and the savings I had in doing the work myself
