- Water Inlet Valve
CustomerJeff from NY
Water seeps back into the drum after a cycle is complete and after it has been drained.
The part ordered worked however was not the issue.
Repair & Advice
When my washing machine was having the issue that I indicated where water was seeping back into the drum after a cycle was complete I saw many people having the same problem and the advice of the "easy" fix was to buy this part. While I was able to install the part (with a little difficulty but was able to do it), it did not fix my problem. From what I can tell there was a blockage in the waste line that was causing the water to back-up into the drum. This was not a blockage to the water filter at the bottom of the machine but rather in the actual plumbing outside of the machine that led to my waste line. If you are having a similar problem, I'd suggest first trying to determine if it is actually water continually filling the drum due to a default in the water inlet valve -- as it is not always the case and you can be led to believe it is.
