Problem
Jenn-Air Wall Oven - Door Seal Beginning to Disintegrate

Repair & Advice
Our Jenn-Air appliances are over 20 years old but still look awesome and work wonderfully! We had noticed that the wall oven door seal was beginning to disintegrate. We had never thought of replacing the seal since it was still relatively tight and the temperature in the oven accurate. After 20 years, we thought it wouldn't hurt to replace it. The part arrived in several days and overall it was an easy task to complete. The only issue we had was that the portion of the seal that fit into the holes in the bottom portion of the door were "burned" into the holes (probably waited too long to replace it). It did take a bit of effort with needle nose pliers to remove the "burned" on material, but after it was all cleaned and the old seal removed, installation of the new seal was a breeze. We had no issue with the door closing tightly after the installation. Our only regret is that we should have done this sooner :)
