Repair & Advice
This repair is very easy to complete. I was able to locate the overload protector using the serial # of my refrigerator and without the need of taking the original part out to look for part #. You should however, replace the start relay as well. Prior to buying the relay you should remove the original and take photos of the part # and take note of the # of pins. My part # was 6R8MB and 3 pins. The replacement part is slightly different with the bottom pin located on the left instead of the right. The overload relay which I think was the fix for the issue I had and the start relay cost me less than $40.00 and my refrigerator is working fine. Parts Dr had the parts in stock and were overall priced the same as Amazon.
