Broken control knob for Fridgidaire gas stove top.

The stove top is around two years old. Control knobs began to deteriorate after about a year.
Just plastic and did not take much for them to start to crack. Would have loved to replace all of them but they are $35.00 apiece. Tried to find replacements but did not have much luck.
The knobs have a very long stem where they connect to the burner, so I taped all the knobs tightly with gorilla tape at the bottom of the stem. I then reinstalled. I no longer remove them to clean stove top but work around them.
It just a very expensive cheaply made part. I have no doubt more knobs, as well as the replacement will continue to break.

This knob is a perfect fit. Easy to install - just align and push receptacle into the stud. I wish the receptacle neck is metal re-enforced. The current material is made of easy to break plastic. Not good! Have gone through four in one year.
