Problem
Dishwasher drawer no longer detected open/close, which prevented running the cycle.
Tools
Pliers, flat blade screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Replacing the control module fixed the problem. The control module is easily accessible by pulling two plastic pins and sliding the drawer front off. A flat blade screwdriver is used to squeeze the plastic tab on the side of the old control module so it can be rotated out.

Problem
Fisher&Paykel dish drawer dishwasher would pause running. No error code.
Tools
Needle nose plyers and flat head screwdriver
Repair & Advice
8 year old dishwasher would pause after start cycle. It appeared that computer could not tell whether or not the dish drawer was closed/locked, even though it was. Others on the internet described the same problem. No error codes. Sometimes it would run without pausing, so started out intermittently. But gradually got worse. Appliance repair guy said that if he came out to repair it, it would cost us as much to buy new. So we fixed it ourselves by ordering a new module for the unit. It arrived fast (within 5 days including a weekend). Needle nose plyers used to remove plastic plugs that hold stainless steel front panel in place, top handle bar slides to the left to release. Screwdriver used to release old module from its position on upper right side. Plyers used to remove connections from old module. Connections snapped into new module easily and then the whole module snapped into place. Once back together, dish drawer ran perfectly. There are several videos in the internet showing how to remove dish drawer cover and control module.

Problem
Top drawer would intermittently shut off various time throughout cycle.
Tools
Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Top drawer would intermittently shut off various time throughout cycle. Would not produce consistent fault codes. Attempted to isolate issue and then resorted to switching control panel between top and bottom drawer. That was the exact problem.
