Phillips screwdriver, vice grips and a lot of muscle.

Repair & Advice

Remove the top panel and rear access panel of washer. Remove broken spring. I used a 2 x 4 to raise the tub by prying against the bottom. Be careful not to damage any wiring or hoses when prying it up. Get it just high enough to put the new spring in place. Remove the board and check inside to ensure everything is still connected. (I had to reattach one wire connection on top of tub that pulled out when spring broke. I ran a test cycle before putting rear panel and top back to ensure proper functionality.
