Repair & Advice
The space for our Fisher & Paykel washing machine in our rental unit is about 8 years old. The space for the set is limited and we hoped the washer could be repaired as the standard 27" washer is too wide --this unit is 25 1/2 " wide. We are fortunate that that my tenant, "Benjamin" is a handy engineer and was able to remove the control board (easy plug -in), locate the p/n, found your website and easily cross referenced the P/N for easy ordering. I placed an order for the control board replacement on your website and chose Fed X and pleased it was on stock and shipped same day. After further examination later that day after work, Benjamin noted the "pump" was bad and this is what caused the washer control board to fail. I ordered this replacement P/N the next day and it too was able to be shipped by Fed X overnight. My tenants have two young boys and the washer & dryer are a daily necessity. The washer was still in good condition overall per Benjamin and after quick research I noted repairing the unit vs replacement allowed us to keep our matched set and repair was less expensive then replacement. Also important to note it was faster and less expensive then locating and purchasing a replacement. Thank you!

Repair & Advice
Upon researching a possible cause for my washer being dead, I decided that I needed to change the control module, so I ordered that and ordered a drain pump too because research also said that a faulty drain pump can blow the control board. The control board was extremely easy to change and it came with an additional fuse that is needed to work the drain pump. I finished the control board installation then installed the drain pump. I then ran the machine through a cycle but when it came time to drain, the pump would not come on and I got error code 37. I rechecked my connections at the drain pump...still would not come on. This had me stumped for a few days, so I did more research which did not help much. I was all set to blame it on a faulty diverter valve, but I said I would check the pump connections at the control board....well remember that fuse that I had to add on.....low and behold I did not fully snap one end of the connection! Washer works perfectly now....also note that the drain pump also comes with a fuse, but you don't need that one if you use the one that comes with the control board. Moral of the story,....always check your work
