Problem
Washer would not spin
Tools
Pliers, hammer, ratchet and socket.
Repair & Advice
Washer had been making noise because the basket would not stop after the spin cycle. Went on like that for a long time, but then the basket stopped spinning all together. Initially I thought the brake system was the problem, then I assumed the clutch went out as well. Bought a spindle with the breaks attached and it also came with a new clutch. Removed the basket and installed the new parts. When I reassembled I noticed the notches on the block were gone. Probably the problem from the beginning so I ordered the new block. This machine is easy to work on so nothing about it was a big deal. Just had to take the time to order and have parts delivered. Certainly better than buying a new one. The machine works great now.
