Problem
Both bottom elements were performing poorly.
Tools
Phillips head screwdriver and needle nose pliers. Magnetic mechanics bowl to hold screws.
Repair & Advice
Grab a helper because the oven is best pulled out a lil more than a foot. Chances are it's held in by a screw at the top one on each side....just inside the oven frame. Slide the oven out a bit and locate and remove the two Phillips head screws on each side in line with the middle trim piece that covers the bottom self-clean latch, and two more middle latch screws. Use the pliers to ease it out and set it aside. Locate the latch mechanism in the middle and turn it a bit to un-nest it from the retaining pin. Just slide it over to the left and don't remove or tug on it. The element pan is right there in the middle and is recessed. Remove the single Phillips head on left and pin on right that holds the heating element tray. It will easily drop down now revealing the two insulated power connectors. Gently wiggle each loose with the pliers....(PATIENCE!!!). After pull the tray down and back toward you. The elements are held in by four short Phillips head screws. Remove and replace element. Do everything in reverse fashion to place the element tray, wiring, locking mechanism and trim back where they belong.
For the bottom, remove the bottom stainless trim piece. Locate the Phillips screw and pin that is holding the tray up. Repeat like other element.
Don't forget to screw the frame screws back into the wood trim.
