Problem
failed regulator on new Frigidaire stove
Tools
couple adjustables and long thin screwdriver (for the burner adjustments after); gas detect wand off amazon
Repair & Advice
Installed a new stove ourselves and converted to LP. Since put it in ourselves it's out of warranty. Few weeks later with a wand gas detector found the vent valve continuously leaking gas (failed diaphragm). The appliance store wanted to send a tech to verify my findings and order the part if was indeed bad. Then only they can install using an authorized technician. Charging fees all along the way of course.
Fairly handyman myself found the OE part on PartsDR with verification of cross reference of our exact model number to ensure the exact part fitment. Clear and precise listings and pictures of parts. Really like the model check tool vs having to scan for it. Ordered and had the part on the way before the appliance store got back to me wanting to overcharge for the part and only their people can install.
Part arrived from PartsDR, installed simple enough. Flipped the "button" for LP and installed. Used the wand to test for leaks and check my work. Readjusted the burners due to now the regulator is actually working properly. No more excessive leaking out of the vent valve like it's suppose to be.
Job done and wife is happy. Cost very minimal. Install was straight forward. Ear marked website incase ever need anything again. Great place for handyman or techs that diy.

Repair & Advice
The part number of this regulator matched the one off of the stove I was working on but one fitting was different. It works but I had to modify the stove to fit this regulator. Not extremely pleased.
