Repair & Advice
On the day of expected delivery, be sure to have at least one beer in the refrigerator to be chilled prior to the install. Also, when the new unit arrives, peel off all plastic wrap (if that wasn't a given).
For install:
Step 1 - open said cold beer. If the beer is not cold then delay the new part install until beer temperature is reasonable. Then you may have some to drink.
Step 2 - open freezer door and pull out the old dispenser unit. It may take a little force but it comes out.
Step 3 - more beer.
Step 4 - push new unit in. You'll know when it's in far enough.
Step 5 - more beer.
Step 6 - close freezer door and let that new dispenser fill up with ice.
Step 7 - you know what.

Repair & Advice
Our ice dispenser on our Frigidaire Gallery (5 yrs old) was making me say bad words. The crusher had stopped working entirely because it jammed every time. The cubes were starting to get jammed more often than not and we were dumping the ice in a plastic bowl and keeping it in the freezer. I read other reviews on this part and it seemed like stuck ice was a common problem with this model. I placed my order and kept my fingers crossed that it solved the problem. The part came in one day and we replaced the ice tray/dispenser with the new one and the we haven’t had a jam since and the crusher works without a hitch too. YES, YES, YES!!! Well worth the price in my opinion. It’s only been a couple weeks since we replaced it but we hope this one lasts for several year. Cheaper than buying a new frig.

Repair & Advice
This is the 2nd time I’ve replaced this part on my Frigidaire Gallery freezer. The first time I contacted a Frigidaire recommended repair service in my area. They were very nice and efficient but had to order the part. It was a 2 service call visit. It took about a week for them to get the part. Total cost was about $350. This time I searched for the part online which brought me to your site. With the model number cross checking I ordered your part. It came in about a week. Slid the old one out and the new one in. Only tool I used was a box cutter to open the box. Total cost was about $130 including shipping. This is obviously a design flaw in the Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator.
