Problem
Stand alone ice maker stopped making ice. Upon inspection water in bin was not flowing over cold plate. Did not have continuity when tested circulating pump leads, thus necessary to replace pump.
Tools
1/4 inch nut driver. Electrical tester. Silicone and ice pick to aid in holding screw in driver and placing it in appropriate hole upon reassembly.
Repair & Advice
Diagnose problem by noticing circulation pump was not circulating water over cold plate during its cycle. Testing circulating pumps electrical leads to see if continuity exists. If none bad pump. Removing thumb screws on water bin and screws on cold plate cover and 3 on circulating pump bracket. Removing electrical leads for pump and sensor so that bracket with pump snd sensor could be removed and then replaced with new part and reinstalled like before removal. Tested new pump leads before reinstalling and showed continuity. Used ice pick to align bracket hole and then placed screw on driver holding in place with dab of silicone. Covered drain hole in bin to catch dropped screws. Before started made sure bin dry and free of ice. Tested and it made ice after completing reassembly. Also noted water flow over cold plate and bin water getting cold.
