Problem
Fridge not cooling. All fans running. Compressor could be heard faintly & constantly running without defrost cycle break. Hissing heard whenever fridge is turned off.
Tools
Still not fixed. But use of soap water from spray bottle showed bubble from a condenser coil leak that was hissing. Will also need an electronic leak detector to find other potential small leaks. Will need to patch leak(s), evacuate refrigerant from the fridge with a vacuum, and refill with R410a. The last part will probably has to be completed by a licensed Refrigerant specialist to be done properly. I could possibly cut the copper tubing near the compressor, and insert a Schrader valve to evacuate the system; but you have to be licensed to buy R410 refrigerant. Will also need the refill/charging machine; not worth buying for a one time job. If charging system is fixed and still not cooling, then the Control Panel, and Defrost Cycle parts and mechanisms will be evaluated accordingly. One way or another this sh-t will be fixed. Advice: R410a is a high pressure system so be careful when working with it if you are a DIY!!!
Repair & Advice
Received the components parts ordered from partsdr very quickly within 48 hrs on "Regular" shipping. Kudos! I suspect I did not have to buy the relay component since my problem was leaking afterall. I will have a tech test my old relay since I don't have the resistance, or Amp norm values. If ok, I may have to return the new one. Stay tuned. Diagnosing is easy, but with the copper work involved, and evac plus R410a charging with post charge pressure hold test, this job is not for the faint hearted.
