Problem
Washer spun unbalanced, wouldn't center after spin. Tub sat off center when stopped, even when empty.
Tools
Phillips, wrench, short lengths of 2x4, mirror, razor blade, wire blush, bungee cord and alcohol (not whiskey ha ha)
Repair & Advice
Removed front panel, tipped machine back and blocked with 2x4, Note spring tension/ thread to nut location, removed leveling spring eye bolts, removed springs for ease of repair. Removed top panel screws and propped top panel with bungee cord or block of wood.
Place two 2x4's on edge under machine, under pulley housing, and drop machine forward, forcing tub upward, exposing damper pads. Note location of pads. Remove old pads, remove old glue, wire brush and clean with alcohol.
Apply glue to clean pad area, let set, apply new pads, apply grease provided with pads.
Reverse above disassembly procedure. Adjust springs as needed to position tub at center of lid opening. Assure a space between spring coils equals approx thickness of a match book. Do several spin test runs using lid to start and stop spin to be sure tub centers when stop. Adjust corresponding spring(s) as need until balanced
There is a YouTube video explaing the process

Problem
Old two belt Maytag danced across the floor on spin cycle.
Tools
Socket wrench 7/16" , nut driver 5/16, mineral spirits to clean off old glue, 6" piece of 4X4, Philips screw driver.
Repair & Advice
Not a difficult repair, U-Tube videos were very helpful. Don't forget to order the high temperature glue #PD00003112 Whirlpool High Temperature Adhesive. Pads come with special lubricant; but glue is not included. Be sure to level the washer when done. I replaced the rubber foot pads too #PD00003013 Whirlpool Rubber Foot Pad.
Glue dries fast - glue one pad at a time. Protect your fingers, machine parts have sharp edges and GLUE IS HARD TO REMOVE FROM FINGERS
