Problem
The door-lock mechanism on top-loading Washer did not work.
Tools
Screwdriver, and knowledge of the Speed Queen machine.
Repair & Advice
The bezel part was correct. I had to call a repair person to properly install and connect it to the latch lock. It seems it was more than just clicking the bezel into place. Had to remove the outer panel and connect the electrical parts to the bezel (a plastic piece). He did it quickly. And he did not have that part, which I bought from you, with him. So Success! Instructions on how to connect would have been great to have had. Could have done myself with some guidance. I'd advise adding this to send with the part.

Problem
The plastic part the locking mechanism grabs wore off, this is located on the front right hand corner. The lid lock couldn’t set and the machine wouldn’t run.
Tools
A drill to remove the two screws on the outside panel.
A torx bit for the screws that attach the locking mechanism to the lid lock.
Repair & Advice
This is an easy and cheap fix. Just unplug the locking mechanism so you have a safe and more mobile piece to work with.
When you do you next load the computer is a little confused and the locking mechanism will click a few times to rest. Do the old turn on/off to get it working properly and you’ll be good to go.
