Problem
Error Code E009 on Bosch Dishwasher...after some online searching, determined that this was the failure of the heating unit in the pump. Note: This was caused by hard water deposits forming a film on the fine filter screen, which kept the water from getting to the pump, and burned out the heating element. If this is a problem with your screen as well, be sure to clean it during replacement (soaking in vinegar and then using a toothbrush to gently remove scale works great). Make sure that frequent, monthly cleaning of this screen occurs, or your new pump will also be ruined in the future!
Tools
Both phillips and flat blade screwdrivers, pliers, very small flat blade screwdriver, a small flashlight.
Repair & Advice
1. Removal of dishwasher from spot under counter is not difficult, just remember to turn off power at breaker box or unplug under sink, water supply and drain need to be long enough to allow dishwasher to be pulled out, or disconnect from water shutoff and disposal.
2. Watch some YouTube videos to familiarize yourself with the steps and procedures needed.
3. Remove wiring connector structure at side of dishwasher to reveal motor/pump/heating unit.
4. Confirm that the new part you received is identical to the one in the dishwasher before proceeding.
5. Remove the old pump—getting the band clamp off the hose that goes over the nylon tube is the most difficult part, I used pliers and a flat blade screwdriver to gently release it.
6. I used a very small amount of silicone grease to make both inlet and outlet connections easier.
7. Getting the new pump into the correct position is very important, so make sure upper hose is securely over tube and pump is straight.
8. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to securely tighten the new clamp holding the pump hose to the tube...don’t overdo it, though.
9. Put about a cup of water in the dishwasher’s sump in the center area under where the lower dish rack sits, use the flashlight underneath to make sure that there are no leaks.
10. Re-assemble all plugs, wiring structure, insulation, etc., and push dishwasher back under counter, making sure to feed power, supply and drain lines under sink so there are no kinks.
11. Re-attach drain and supply lines (if detached) turn power back on to dishwasher.
12. Test by running the dishwasher through a cycle before securing to cabinets or countertops—check for leaks with flashlight.
13. If no leaks, re-assemble dishwasher, attach to cabinets or countertop, level feet, re-secure lines under sink.

Problem
I have the Bosch dishwasher model SHX65T55UC/09. Purchase date was January 9, 2017. The no heat problem with the E09 code started sometime in September of 2019.
Tools
Pliers and small screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
It turned to be easy for me. I pulled out the dishwasher from the kitchen cabinet and did the removing and replacing of the heat pump from the right hand side.
Then I did one wash cycle, with the dishes, and pulled the unit out to check for leaks at the bottom pan. Everything checked good.
