Bosch Gas CookTop would not stop clicking when turned on.

My Bosch Gas cooktop wouldn’t stop clicking as it was turned on to light. It would light and remain clicking / sparking on 2-5of the burners depending on the day. Bought the part. Pulled the gas knobs off and grates and the gas burner metal covers. Using a socket wrench I removed the gas feeder tube on each of the 5 burners carefully so I didn’t strip them or scratch the surface. Then the top just lifted up. I disconnected the front 2 burner ignition points at each burner. The little wire connector has a dimple that you have to pop out of the hole on the female part so it will slide off. Once these were removed I grabbed something to hold up the top cover while I worked on the Spark Module because I didn’t have to disconnect all The burner wires. There are 2 hex or star head screwson the module. Removed those and the front connector that comes from the stove top switches you turn when lighting the stovetop. I took a picture of the rest of wires that run from the spark module to the spark igniters at each of the burners. And swapped out each wire which is just a push on connection to the wire prong on the module. Then reassembly was just the reversal of the instructions. Pretty simple once I figured it out. Took about 30 min. Mainly because I spent 10 minutes cleaning under the burners and the top when I took it apart. Didn’t realize how dirty it had gotten over the years.

The 2 YO Bosch cooktop sparking unit just quit out of the blue. Troubleshooting using the internet led me to believe it was this Spark Module. I ordered it online and received it within 48 hours. I then call the Handyman I use and scheduled an appointment. During the time between the breakage I unplugged the cooktop and used a match to start the gas burner. Part Dr. was the simplest and quickest part of the process.
