Problem
Water not heating, dishes not dry after cycle. Initially replaced the heater assembly which did not correct the problem.
Tools
Phillips screwdriver, wrench for water line.
Repair & Advice
Control board replacement - Bosch SHE68R55UC Dishwasher
Turn off water and power at breaker panel
Unscrew drain line under cabinet if necessary to get slack
Remove kick panel
Disconnect water hose at dishwasher
Disconnect power cable and assembly (take pic of wiring)
Remove 2 screws at counter top
Leave legs as adjusted unless you have trouble sliding unit out
Pull dishwaher out (feed drain hose from under sink)
Lift insulation on right
Remove black plastic cover
Loosen control board enclosure from mount
Open control board cover (2 tabs on inside)
Take pics of connector locations
Disconnect connectors starting from the right side (look for tabs)
Lift out old control board
Position new control board
Re-connect connectors starting on the left
Close cover and re-seat control board enclosure
Replace black panel, and insulation
Slide washer back in place
Reconnect power and water
Screw drain hose back up above disposal
Turn on breaker
Test washer, if all okay (no leaks, errors, etc) replace kick panel
Turn on "extra dry" feature.
After examining the old control board, it appears that the heater relay is defective. It looked slightly burned so could probably order a relay and solder it in to repair the board.
