Problem

Convection and Bake failed to reliably heat to temperature

Tools

Screwdriver, long nose pliers

Repair & Advice

This was an easy fix. Turned off power at the circuit breaker. I removed the Oven door to lighten the wall mounted unit containing an Oven, Microwave and Warming Drawer. I removed four mounting screws holding the wall unit into the cabinetry, then slide the whole unit out about 10 inches. I removed two screws from below the oven control panel, then popped the control panel off two spring retainers. I removed an access panel from the top of the unit. I took a lot of photos to document the wiring harness connection to the electronics boards, then carefully swapped the wires one at a time from the old control board to the new control board. I then installed the new display panel and the new wiring harness for it. Reassembled the unit, slid it back into the cabinet, installed cabinet mounting screws and the oven door. Works fine now.

Problem

Oven display had gone completely dim - rendered the oven really hard to use

Tools

Phillips screw driver, needle nose pliers

Repair & Advice

On the thermador oven you can get at the display with two screws on the front panel. Pop the microwave trim off and you can see the screws from underneath the display. But ... the relay board in the kit is a bit harder. You have to take the four screws out from the inside of the oven that go into the cabinet. Once they are out, slide the whole assembly out and be sure to have something to support it, I used milk crates. Then take the top off the oven - there is a really easy access panel with 5 screws and you can see the relay board. EASY! Match the wires from the old to the new and put it back in place. Reverse the disassembly. Make sure to turn off the power while you are fiddling around ... Also note - the kit is great, comes direct from Bosch. I had a dead display in the first kit, but it was replaced for free. I doubt many people would have that happen.

Problem

No display, no response from Thermador Oven

Tools

#2 Philips Screwdriver

Repair & Advice

While this kit contained both the display board and the control board, I only needed the display. Repair was quick and easy; nearly anyone could do it. Oven works perfectly now. Turned off the breaker, removed front panel, unscrewed display panel, swapped cables to the new display one at a time, turned on the breaker. I saved the control board as a spare in case I ever need it.
