Only the German's would hide a manual reset thermostat button behind 22 torex screws! This is at least the 3rd time in last 2 years (its a 7+ yr old machine) that I've had to reset this - I've checked and cleaned all that I can inside the dryer and in the ductwork - so I'm just guessing that the thermostat is "tired" and next time it flips I'm going to replace it.

The dryer would get very hot, to the point it ruined some of the clothes. I was more than a little sure it was the thermostat. I ordered the part from PartsDr. The part came in sooner than I expected, and my dryer is as good as new.
As a note, the only reason it takes so long to do is because of all the screws that need to be removed and reinstalled on the back of the dryer.
