Problem
Our KitchenAid KUDE60HXSS1 was leaking and we had thought the leak fixed. And then the control panel no longer showed life. No beeps and no lights.
Tools
Torx bit ( your size may vary) Parts Dr. Video or I should say videos as this turned in to replacing many parts
Repair & Advice
We had repaired the leak occurring (pump grommet) on the bottom of our KitchenAid KUDE60HXSS1 dishwasher. However, when this was working correctly the water pressure increased (as it should) inside the dishwasher. This subsequently cause water to leak around the front door gasket.
(I recommend did later replace Door Gasket Seal by Whirlpool Part# PD00044821Mfg# W11177741)
With the Door Gasket Seal leaking and allowing steam to vent from the top, next to the
Control Panel, thus damaging the Control Panel.
So yes in repairing one leak and subsequently causing another, I cost myself a significant amount of time and money. Do not waste your time and money purchasing parts from Amazon. I purchased a Door Gasket Seal from Amazon. It did not allow the door to close and seal. I repeat it did not work correctly. The Amazon Door Gasket Seal was of a less pliable material and the Door leaked water from sides, water and steam from top next to Control Panel.

Problem
Intermittent control panel lighting and operation
Tools
Torx screwdriver and tape
Repair & Advice
The original control panel lighting deteriorated to a point where the washer would not operate at all. We figured it was the control panel itself and ordered an OEM replacement from Parts Dr. This is a fairly intuitive repair, but you may need a helper to align the outer door over the tabs on the inner door. Also helpful to tape panel in place so it won't slip during reassembly. Be careful to observe how the outer door is removed as it must be replaced in exact reverse order using the tabs on the inner door. Do not force it -- you'll know it's aligned when the screws thread cleanly. Works like new now!
