Problem
Some of the buttons were not working on the panel and some were but the dishwasher would not start. I went back and forth using various trouble-shooting techniques I found on this and other websites and had it down to either the control panel or the control board. I bought the panel not really knowing if it would fix the problem but it did! If your having similar trouble, this is likely your fix.
Tools
Torx screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
Shut off power to the dishwasher. Used a Torx bit to remove screws to free control panel and assembly. Removed plastic cover from control board to access and remove ribbon cable to remove and detach old control panel. Reattached ribbon cable from new panel, reattached the control board and replaced control board cover. Reattached assembled panel and control assembly to dishwasher with Torx screws. You have enough slack so that you do not have to remove the wires that go to the soap dispenser, just don't pull on them too much. I would like the give the panel 5 stars but they seem the major point of failure in these machines.
