Washer's tub-to-pump hose was leaking

Socket wrench, vice grips, spatula, towel
Repair & Advice
Use the spatula to pop the front cover off of the washing machine. Locate the hose on the bottom left of the machine. Loosen the upper hose clamp on the tub end using a socket wrench. Be careful as this will likely be filled with water! Use the vice grips to clamp the double wire hose clamp on the lower pump end. Remove the hose and dry and water around the pump with a towel. When you attach the new hose, make sure you place the clamps on loosely first, as there is no way to get the wire hose clamp on once the hose is attached. Tighten the clamps. Make sure the protruding metal on the lower clamp does not rub up against the hose as this is what caused the leak in the first place. I recommend putting a zip tie around the lower pump end of the hose to ensure a leak-proof seal. Good luck!
