The dishwasher would not run, the start button was flashing.

T15 screwdriver.

Washer would not run, Start light was flashing, After inspecting the old control board I noticed there were burnt marks on where the wires plugged in. I replaced the board and washer started back up.

My Whirlpool dishwasher would not start

T-15 screwdriver (the star shaped kind) and a small flathead screwdriver

Some lights stayed lit and I couldn't get the start button to work. First I replaced the control panel (also a great video) but that didn't do the trick. Next, I replaced the control board. Now my dishwasher works like a dream. The video was very helpful. The only thing I would caution you about is the thermal fuse bracket. It's plastic and pretty brittle. I broke the one on the new control board but was able to scavenge the old board and use that one. I don't think the dishwasher would have worked without that bracket. Thanks so much for the straightforward videos. I was thrilled to be able to make this repair!
