Problem
Washer would agitate while filling, and add water at the end of cycle, resulting in wet clothes.
Tools
Putty knife, Phillips screwdriver, straight slot screwdriver to release electric clips
Repair & Advice
Evidently, Maytag knew about this problem for some time, wish they would have released a repair option for this, fat chance, would have cost them, next washer AND dryer will be Speed Queen, made in USA and has the longest warranty available.

Problem
Agitator would begin running at very beginning of cycle while water was being let in and would use up it's cycle time and therefore not allow enough agitation to clean the load. At the end of the wash/spin cycle the water inlet would allow about 5 seconds of water to spray on the "rung out" clothes necessitating yet another spin before removing the clothes for drying.
Tools
I believe only a screw driver was needed to replace the switch. I used a putty knife to release the clips to open the control panel.
Repair & Advice
I went on-line to see if anyone else had experienced this and to my surprise it is apparently a very common problem with White Westinghouse and Kenmore washers. Some were only a few years old whereas mine is nearly 10 years old. There were various opinions on "field fixes" that some found to work. These included blowing air through the plastic tube that comes from the tub to this switch. I believe this is the actual load sensing part. Some found it to be clogged causing this same problem. Another user felt that the electrical connections might have been the problem and used contact cleaner on all the plugs. I tried all of these to no avail and when I found the part available at PartsDR there was again a detailed "problem solver" section describing this problem and the likely causes of it ultimately suggesting replacement of the load level/temperature switch along with instructions. I ordered this part on a Monday afternoon and at 10 a.m. the next morning it was on my front porch via UPS. It was shipped from SD and arrived near Kansas City, MO that quick with normal delivery charges of around $6!! I'm very pleased with the service and help on the web site.

Problem
Maytag Centennial washer, model MVWC6ESWW1, would agitate while filling with water, then would rinse after the spin cycle leaving the clothes wet.
Tools
Plastic putty knife to compress the clips and release the control panel
Repair & Advice
Unplugged the washer. Used plastic putty knife, firmly pushing inward, compressing the clips which released the control panel. I was able to lean it back so as to view the interior. I located the load sensor. Mine was the far left . I used my smartphone to take a picture of the innards, more specifically how the wires were plugged into the load sensor. As per the instructions received from the Parts Dr. After disconnecting the two wired connectors, I twisted the load sensor 45 degrees to align the slots on the washer panel and allow the part to be freed. I accidentally broke a clip that was holding the part so that it would not rotate on it's own. I was care to install the new part with clip in tack. I inserted the wired connectors according to my picture. I leaned the control panel forward and let it rest in it's normal position. I then plugged the washer back in and did some laundry. After 5 loads of everything working seamlessly, I applied downward pressure to the control panel so that the clips would re-seat. All is good. Thank you PartsDr for shipping the part so quickly and providing instructions.
