Problem
Broken latch on dishwasher
Tools
Star screwdriver multi tool, pliers
Repair & Advice
Took less than 3 minutes (unscrewed all the screws except the two on both sides at the very bottom, which kept the panel secure. Pulled the panel back enough to pull out the broken latch assembly. Used pliers to pull out the wire connectors. Put the connectors into the new latch assembly, Placed assembly back in the same spot, pushed the panel back in place, and put the screws back in. Worked great)

Problem
Handle broke and door wouldn't open
Tools
Screwdriver with Torx Bit, Needle Nose Pliers
Repair & Advice
First I shut off the breaker to my dishwasher. My original handle was still working enough that I was still able to get the door open with some effort. Once I had the door open I remove the star shaped torx screws holding the inside door panel in place. With those removed I lifted the inner door panel out and now had access to the door latch. The wire plugs on the old door latch were stuck in place so I used a needle nose pliers to grab onto the plugs and wiggle them back and forth to loosen and remove them. Next I installed the new door latch and re-installed in the reverse order. I was happy to see that the new part I ordered from Parts Dr was an improved design over the original and it looks like it should last longer than the original.
