Dremel and philips screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
The original balance ring is screwed and pressed into the tub. I had to use a Dremel to cut the top crimped metal part of the tub off in order to install a new ring. I have run 14 loads now with no issues. the original Philips screws are sufficient to secure the new ring. Samsung just crimped it in to make it harder to home repair I suppose. I burned through 7 metal cutting discs to do the job. So stock up first.
