Problem
Ice shoot flapper was broken and was hanging.
Tools
Star and flat screwdrivers.
Repair & Advice
First I tried to replace the flapper with a new one I did not know the exact place the spring should go and it never worked. So I bought a ice route case assembly and that worked out okay.

Problem
Ice maker would not make cubed ice.
Tools
Phillips screw driver, blade screwdriver
Repair & Advice
Found the drop chute closing flap not working. This caused frost to form in the ice bucket. Ordered the Ice Route Case Assembly . Replaced the broken assembly and all worked fine. The new assembly was easy to install.

Problem
Ice chute door would not open at all.
Tools
Philips screwdriver, flat piece of metal to depress latch clips.
Repair & Advice
First of all it is all done from the front. Nothing on the inside of freezer needs to be touched. I shut off breaker to Refrigerator. It was easier than getting to the plug. You do not on this model need to turn off water to the refrigerator. There is one philips head screw underneath to remove that is left of the ice shoot. There are 6 snap in latches that have to be unsnapped that releases the touch button panel. Remove the touch panel. I used a stiff thin flat metal piece to slide in along the edges of the panel to release the latches. This is the most difficult part of the procedure. I did break one off, but it did not affect anything. Just let the panel hang down. There are two screws that hold the whole chute assembly in. Remove those, and disconnect I believe one cable plug. The whole assembly come right out. Replace new assembly and reverse install. Very simple to reinstall since latches just snap back in. Entire procedure took me about a half hour.
