Problem
Our ice maker wouldn't release all the ice so when it would refill with water the water would run over then freeze down the inside of the freezer.
Tools
Screwdriver and the new ice maker sent in the mail.
Repair & Advice
This was very simple. Shut the ice maker off on the front panel. You unscrew four screws, pull the unit forward slightly then unhook the wires from the top. Reverse that process and install the new unit. Have had this relplacement part for months now without any issues.

Icemaker didn't make ice

Phillips screwdriver and hands to remove the rectangular connector.
Repair & Advice
Remember to turn off the water line and remove ac to refrig. R/R unit and plug back in the ac to the refrig, turn on the water and possibly push the black reset button. The icemaker should cycle and put water in the tray and await for new ice.
