Sump & Motor Assembly

Problem
Motor had been making noise that gradually got worse and changed from a whine to a growl and then a grinding sound joined the symphony. Knew the assembly was on it's way out.
Tools
Philips and slot screw drivers and a rubber mallet (friendly persuader for the old assembly).
Repair & Advice
I located my model number and then watched a YouTube video. Could not have been any easier for the removal and replacement. Hardest part was getting the dishwasher out from under the counter.

Problem
Motor after few weeks noise work, stop.
Tools
Screw driver, slip joint pliers.
Repair & Advice
Put dishwasher on the edges of 2 stools (woodblocks), leave the middle free for easy access, make a picture of existing connections and global view of the pump and motor assembly, unscrew and unplug old part from below and plastic water supply tube and wash arms inside the dishwasher, remove drain pump, remove old part by press from the top (inside the dishwasher), install new part - pump and motor assembly, install back the drain pump, done.
This way avoid the flood on your kitchen against putting the dishwasher on the side.
