Problem
Control Panel shorted out.
Tools
Flashlight and Phillips Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
The Control Panel on my LG dishwasher shorted out thanks to my mom flooding my kitchen countertop. Originally I thought it was the Main Computer Board; however, it turned out to be the Control Panel. Once I figured out what went wrong, it was a simple but expensive fix. It didn’t take much time at all to fix and now my dishwasher is as good as new.

Problem
The dishwasher would not power on.
Tools
Basic hand tools, a screw driver is all I used. Phillips head.
Repair & Advice
You have to disassemble the door to replace this part. There is a row of screws around the door. Long ones at the top and short ones in the lower half. The most difficult part of the repair is holding the front and rear halves of the door together and aligned while you start the screws back in. Would help to have a trained pet octopus. When I powered up the unit the child lock icon was on. I had to unlock that with the press two buttons technique. The part supplied was OEM perfect match and fit.
