- Bake Element
CustomerLynn from MD
The baking element for my Kenmore stove stopped working. It had been running 25 degrees below the temperature setting for quite sometime before it completely failed.
Repair & Advice
Make sure you shut off the circuit breaker or unplug your stove to safely complete this repair. This was a simple repair. After unplugging the stove I simply removed the screws inside the oven which were holding the element in place. I unclipped the old element from the wires, clipped the new element onto the wires and reattached the screws securing the new element in place. After plugging the stove back in I set the oven to 350 and made sure the stove reached the proper temperature using a stainless steel oven thermometer. The new element heated right up to 350 just like new.
