Problem
My LG Washing Machine was faulting with the LE error code no matter what cycle I selected. I did some research (thank God for YouTube!) And found that it was indeed a bad hall sensor on the motor stator.
Before ordering I double-checked the output pulses from the sensor and indeed one of them was bad.
This part arrived and is an exact/direct replacement. Installation only took me 20 minutes and my washer was working again.
Tools
Screwdriver, socket wrench.
Repair & Advice
These are the steps I performed on my front loading LG washing machine.
1. Unplug power and disconnect the water lines from the washing machine! Make sure to turn the water valves off before disconnecting the water lines.
2. Remove the back cover of the washing machine.
3. Use a socket wrench to removed the center bolt from the motor rotor. You may need a screwdriver to keep the rotor from spinning.
4. Remove the rotor. This can be kinda a pain because of the magnets on the rotor, but keep at it.
5. Remove the 3 or 4 bolts holding the stator in.
6. Unplug the motor wiring connector and hall sensor wiring connector.
7. Place the stator on a flat surface and use a small screw driver to remove the hall sensor. You'll have to lift up on the plastic clips to remove.
8. Place the new sensor in the same spot on the stator and repeat the steps in reverse order!

Repair & Advice
This was the top suggested replacement for the error, but you f course it wasn’t my problem. Ended up going with top suggestion #2 and replaced the wire harness going to sensor and that fixed the issue. For the cost of each +/- $20, I’d suggest ordering and replacing both as long as you have the washer pulled out and apart. Both real easy to replace.
