Problem
Green indicator light was going out. Couldn't tell if freezer was on.
Tools
Used small screw driver to pop out light. Needed small tweezers to pull wires out so to remove light.
Repair & Advice
The light just pops out. Use a small screw driver to wedge it out. Be careful not to damage freezer. Once our pull the two wires off and install new unit. If wires go back inside unit, use small needle know pliers to pull out.

power light led had dimmed with age

putty knife, screwdriver, needlenose pliers.
Repair & Advice
used the putty knife to open the face plate containing the dimmed bulb and control knob, used screwdriver to pry off connections to old bulb, used pliers to squeeze locking flanges permitting thhe old bulb to pass out through the face plate, inserted the new bulb into the face plate until it locked in place (flanges deformed on entry then raised up securing it in place) reconnected wiring, taped the now damaged face plate back in place. job done.

led power indicator light had dimmed with age, needed replacement

needle nosed pliers, straight slot screwdriver, putty knife
Repair & Advice
used putty knife to remove face panel containing light and freezer control, used other tools to remove connections on light then light from plate, replace light reconnected electrical wiring then replaced face plate taping it in place as the holding prongs had been damaged in removal.
