Problem
The smaller part of my burner was not working, only the larger part, the outer ring worked.
Tools
Pliers, Philips screwdriver, 7/32 socket, wire stripper, new larger connection end.
Repair & Advice
Overall, it was a fairly easy repair. the video was very helpful. Even though this is a direct replacement it is an updated version. The connection is slightly different configuration so read the numbers/letters on your old one (use your phone to take a photo of it & blow up to read the numbers on each connection pole )where each wire is attached before you unhook the wires. Do the same on the new one so you will know where each wire should connect. The old one had 3 large connectors on the wires & 2 small ones. The new part has 4 large poles & one small one. My husband removed the small connection on the wire & put a large one on it so it would fit on the large connection pole. Also because they move the connection poles on the new unit & there is not any slack in on of the wires, he had to bend the pole & I lowered the surface top so he could get the wire to connect. Then we were able to re-attach the surface top to the stove. Tried the burner & it works good as new. Other than the one connection being a different size, & having to change the connection on that wire to a bigger one so it could plug on the connection, it was a vary easy fix. I would have given it 5 stars, but because the new part had the one connection different, & we had to change the plug on the end of that wire I gave it 4. Luckily my husband had some larger connections we could use to change the one that needed the larger one.
