Repair & Advice
First I had to go buy a star screwdriver bit. I actually bought 3 because I wasn't sure of the size (I still have to go return the rest).
I got front panel off and was ready to put the new one on. I first had to take all the buttons and the handle (at first I didn't realize that the silver handle had to be taken off the old one). I put it all together and put it back on. Then the dishwasher did not work. Whaaaaat? There was a warning light flashing. I googled it and it said that I needed a new control panel (electronics). That was above my knowhow, so I called a repair guy. While waiting the 3 days for him to come I played around a bit. I took off the panel and saw that the dishwasher would work. I put it back on and it didn't . Hmmm I did this a few times (said a few choice words) and had an idea. I took out the buttons and it worked. I added back the buttons one at a time. This meant putting it on and taking it off for every button. A royal pain. I got to one button and it didn't work. I swapped buttons and it worked. Now it is all set. Yah problem solved.
Some of the buttons do not sit flush and there is a bit of wiggle room in them, but I'm not messing with it any more.
I gave it an easy because it should be easy. I gave it 30-60 because that is what it should be (including time spent figuring out how to take out all the parts. I spent hours because of my issue.
And despite the 5-7 business days they said it would take to get the part, I got it the next day!

Repair & Advice
Ordered the part first through Amazon, ended up to be a disaster. The part was never delivered. The excuse was that they could not find where I live in Dallas, Tx. This is the same address they deliver merchandise several times a week. Then I found the part at PartsDr.com . It was cheaper.
