Problem
Oven control board failed due to an electrical surge. Used google to determine which part was most likely damaged. It was the control board.
Tools
Simple tools.
Repair & Advice
Removed back of stove. Control board was easy to replace. Used phone camera to make sure connecting wires were replaced correctly. Drawings of the stove didn't show clearly where the control board was located. I guessed correctly that it was in the rear of the stove.

Problem
Bosch dual fuel oven was dead
Tools
Screwdriver, pliers
Repair & Advice
The oven portion just died suddenly. There was still power to it, as the electric ignition for the gas stovetop was working fine. The front display panel, the oven light, the oven heating, all dead. I was going to order the display panel control board, which Parts Dr also stocks, but read some blogs that said the more likely culprit was the control board in the rear. You'll need to pull the oven out and unscrew the back panel, then remove the screws and wires to the old board and install the new one. Very easy and the replacement part works PERFECTLY.

Problem
None of the oven elements would work at all. All tested fine with in ohm meter and seemed fine. T-stat probe tested okay too. Only things left were this control board in rear of oven or the top control board display. Since the front one was displaying fine I ordered this rear board. Paid for overnight shipping and received it the next day (day before Thanksgiving). It solved the problem and we had a working oven just in time for Turkey dinner. Thank you
Tools
Screw driver, adjustable wrench for gas line
Repair & Advice
Just slide oven out. I disconnect both the electric plug and gas line to work on it (shut valve). Removed rear metal panels with Philips head screw driver. The control board had several connectors to unplug but easy to know where they went to put it back. The new board had a dedicated grounding wire to connect to body of oven. I think the old one may have shorted out with a power surge or something since it didn't have one. Took off the spacer/mounting tabs from the old board and installed on new one and screwed it back in place. I'd consider this easy to do for sure. Working great now and saved Thanksgiving dinner! If I had to call a service tech, wait to get on schedule, wait to order parts, and come back, I'm sure it would have taken weeks. Thanks Parts Dr!
