Problem
Bosch Oven Broiler Igniter Failed.
Tools
Phillips head screwdriver, T10 torx driver, electrical tape, hard plastic collars for wires.
Repair & Advice
Easy to replace igniter, but difficult to access back of stove to reach wires that plug to igniter wires, so I merely cut off plugs from igniter wires and taped to rear wires, covered joined places with hard plastic collars, and pushed the joins way back to be far from heat.
NOTE: Amazingly, the part was delivered 24 hours after order! How does Parts Dr do that?

Oven wouldn't heat up.

Screwdriver.
Repair & Advice
My Bosch gas oven took forever to get hot and then it wouldn't stay hit. I researched and watched a YouTube on how to exchange an igniter switch. It was a fantastic thorough video. I ordered the switch, thinking it would take days to get here, but to my surprise it was here next day. I installed the igniter switch and I'm baking all kinds of things to make up for lost time. I am so pleased with the service from your company I have recommended it to a few people so far. Thank you!

Problem
Oven would not heat.

Repair & Advice
Back a few months ago I noticed that my oven was taking a while to get heated up. As time went on it took longer and longer until it just wouldn't warm at all. I took the lower burner cover off and checked to see if the ignitor was working and saw that it was. So I determined that it was either the gas valve or the igniter and opted to change out the igniter because it was an easier part to change. The igniter plugs into the gas valve at the back of the stove. The wires are just fed from the burner compartment down through the back of the stove to the gas valve. It is very simple to get those wires to where they need to go. The only problem was that one of the termination connectors needed to be male and not female so I needed to splice on one of the old terminals to the new wire. After installing the new part the oven operated perfectly.
